<p>As of 28th September, The Victorian Police LRD phone lines have initially re-opened at a limited capacity. The hours available for phone queries are Monday,&nbsp;Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 2pm.</p>



<p><strong>New Applications</strong><br>Security licence applicants are to send applications via email to&nbsp;lrd@police.vic.gov.au until further notice, mail in applications <strong>MAY NOT</strong> be assessed.</p>



<p><strong>Renewals&nbsp;</strong><br>If you have been issued a renewal payment notice and have been unable to have your photo taken as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, no action will be taken against your licence.&nbsp;Keep your payment notice and attend a photo point as soon as it practicable for you to do so. All Renewals should also be emailed in as their updated capabilities are not published in renewal letters. Mail in applications <strong>WILL</strong> be delayed, email will get the fastest response.</p>

<ul><li>From 11 October all Victorians must wear a fitted face mask when they leave home, no matter where they live.&nbsp;</li><li>All Victorians must wear a fitted face mask when they leave home, no matter where they live. As restrictions ease and movement increases, the effectiveness of a face mask is even more important.&nbsp;</li><li>You must wear a fitted face mask that covers the nose and mouth. This means that face shields, bandanas, or scarves or loose snoods, loose Buffs® or loose neck gaiters on their own will no longer be considered a sufficient face covering. &nbsp;</li><li>There are&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/face-coverings-covid-19#exceptions-for-not-wearing-a-face-covering">a number of lawful excuses</a>&nbsp;for not wearing a face mask.</li><li>A face mask with three layers is the option recommended by the Chief Health Officer, as it provides the best protection for you and others.&nbsp;</li></ul>
